Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Shortlist ("the Service") is a web application and browser extension operated by Lotlsoft (Max Craigie, ABN sole trader, Melbourne, Australia). The Service captures job listings from third-party sites, analyses them using AI, and helps users draft tailored application documents including resumes, cover letters, and key selection criteria responses.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
• You must provide a valid email address to create an account via Lotl Auth.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Do not share your account with others.

3. Credits

• AI operations consume credits. New accounts receive 5 free credits.
• Additional credits can be purchased through the Service.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased.
• Credits do not expire.
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts.

4. AI-Generated Content

Documents produced by Shortlist are AI-generated drafts. You must review, edit, and personalise all content before submitting it to employers. Lotlsoft is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for any documents you submit as part of a job application.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for:

• Preparing your own personal job applications.
• Managing your own professional profile and experience data.

You must not:

• Use the Service on behalf of others or as a commercial resume-writing service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
• Submit fraudulent or misleading information in job applications.
• Abuse the AI features to generate content unrelated to job applications.

6. Your Data

You own the data you enter into Shortlist, including your profile chunks, listing content, and generated documents. You may export or delete your data at any time from Account Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and processed.

7. Third-Party Content

Job listings captured by the browser extension originate from third-party job sites (Seek, EthicalJobs, and others). Shortlist stores copies of listing content for your personal use. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of those third-party sites.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lotlsoft is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Unsuccessful job applications.
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
• Loss of data due to technical issues.
• Service interruptions or downtime.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Lotlsoft reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Unused credits are forfeited upon account termination for cause.

10. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
